Hello. This is where I post my musical musings. Enjoy.
I’m a fledgling synthwave creator but an old guitar player of over thirty-five years.
My excursion into synthwave began in March 2020, as a whimsical diversion to pass some mandatory free time. In an attempt to create a John Carpenter inspired track, I found boundless creativity within the genre and fell in love with its deceptively broad creative range and accessible, pop-like sound.
In contrast to the sleek, glimmering, sci-fi melodies of synth-driven electronica, I also play guitar for the prehistoric and diasporic, cave-metal trio CHAKA, with Mark Sokol (voice/bass) and Jim Sullivan (drums).
